Macrotek Inc. Supplies Air Pollution Control Equipment for Large-Scale Battery Material Plant in Quebec, Canada

Macrotek Inc., a leading provider of industrial air pollution control solutions is proud to announce its contribution to a new, cutting-edge cathode active material plant for lithium-ion batteries in Quebec. The facility is part of a major joint venture focused on advancing battery technology and supporting the electric vehicle industry.

As part of this landmark project, the company is supplying essential air pollution control equipment to support the facility’s environmental compliance and sustainability goals. The package includes:

• Three industrial baghouse systems for dust and particulate removal across several production lines, plus an additional baghouse with integrated fans, screw conveyors, rotary airlock valves, instrumentation, and PLC controls.
• A packed bed scrubber system, designed for hydrogen chloride (HCl) removal before gas is released into the atmosphere. The scrubber includes a skid-mounted, pre-piped, and pre-wired pump and instrumentation package, metering pumps, and a fan.

Macrotek’s technology ensures ultra-low emissions, guaranteeing compliance with stringent environmental regulations. The baghouse systems are specifically engineered to meet permit requirements for particulate emissions, reinforcing the project’s commitment to sustainability and clean manufacturing.

Delivery of the equipment is scheduled for the end of February 2025.
