Macrotek Successfully Commissions Ammonia Removal System in Western Canada
April 4, 2019
Air pollution control provider, Macrotek Inc., has successfully started up its ammonia removal system for a major fertilizer production facility in Western Canada.
The key objective was to bring ammonia emissions to compliance levels, though as with many Macrotek systems, its performance actually exceeded contractual design guarantees.
Among other benefits, the process will generate high concentration ammonium nitrate, a valuable and usable by-product, resulting in quick return on investment.
Fabrication was completed before the end of 2018 and Macrotek assisted with commissioning and start-up of the system in early 2019.
