Macrotek Inc. Delivers Fast-Tracked Scrubber System for Electrolysis Pilot Plant in Southwestern Europe

Macrotek is pleased to announce the successful delivery of a high-performance scrubber system for a large-scale electrolysis pilot plant located in Southwestern Europe. The demonstration facility produces lithium hydroxide, chlorine, and hydrogen and represents an important step forward in advanced electrochemical processing.

As part of the project, Macrotek supplied a custom-engineered scrubber designed specifically for chlorine gas removal, ensuring safe and effective emissions control within the plant’s electrolysis operations. The system plays a critical role in supporting both environmental compliance and operational safety for the pilot facility.

The project was notable for its accelerated timeline, with the complete scrubber system engineered, manufactured, and delivered in just four months. This fast-tracked delivery highlights Macrotek’s ability to respond quickly to complex technical requirements while maintaining high engineering and quality standards.

Delivered in February 2025, the scrubber supports a demonstration-scale unit that will help validate processes for future commercial deployment in the growing lithium processing sector.
