Macrotek Provides Equipment for Repeat Customer’s Carbon Capture Technology Testing

Macrotek Inc., leading gas cleanup and air pollution control provider, has provided its equipment and technology for an oil and gas company in California.  

Macrotek supplied Moisture separators and a Direct Contact Cooler (DCC) for the customer’s carbon capture technology testing project.

The DCC is used to meet cooling requirement of the CO₂ Capture Technology (proprietary adsorbent technology). The DCC conditions gas and removes moisture from the gas by cooling it and condensing water while the Moisture Separators remove liquid droplets. 

Macrotek had worked on a previous project with the same customer in 2018 where it supplied a Direct Contact Cooler and was called upon for its expertise in this project.

The equipment was delivered in March, 2022.
