Macrotek Receives Multi-Million Dollar Contract for Air Pollution Control System
August 24, 2012
Saskatchewan, Canada
A leading multinational mining company together with their retained engineering company have selected Macrotek to design and supply an integrated multi-million dollar pollution control system for their Western Canada mining complex.
The new pollution control system will treat flue gases from their kiln. The system includes Macrotek’s quench, acid, and ammonia absorbers, the MVA high efficiency Venturi Scrubber, and a comprehensive polishing mist elimination and collection system. The radioactive nature of the dust requires a custom designed, highly efficient design using cutting-edge technologies.
Macrotek designed and supplied a similar system for the company in 2002, however this new design will provide for significant removal efficiency increases.
The first stages of engineering are currently in progress.
