Macrotek Ships Additional Scrubber Package to Repeat Client

Macrotek Inc., a global air pollution control provider, has completed and shipped a prepackaged wet scrubber system to a colour pigment facility in Toronto.

The client first selected Macrotek in 2016 to remove acids and heavy metal compounds from process vents. Based on the success of that project, Macrotek’s Counter Current Packed Bed Scrubber was selected for the removal of soluble pigments and acids from a mixing tank vent.

The Macrotek Packed Bed Scrubber utilizes a vertical counter-current design for the highly efficient absorption of gases. In the vertical counter-current design, gas flows upward while scrubbing liquid flows down through banks of sprays.

Macrotek has designed, engineered, and delivered a skid mounted pre-wired and pre-piped package to minimize field labour and cost.

The system was assembled in Macrotek’s Toronto area facility and shipped in July 2019.
